Counselling inChelmsford

I’m a highly qualified and trusted therapist offering counselling in Chelmsford and over the phone or via Skype/Zoom.

Therapy For Individuals

Leaving unexpressed and unexplored difficult feelings and emotions can impact mental and physical health, as well as being a common cause for seeking out unhealthy ways of coping.

A healthy alternative is to speak to a therapeutic counsellor who can help you look after your emotional and mental well-being. Talking with a counsellor lets you process and work through those difficult feelings and emotions, and together, explore the reason why they might be happening.

You can also gain great insight into aspects of yourself that you may not be aware of. An added insight helps things become clearer, you’ll feel less stuck and your choices for coping and responding become broader.

When you're depressed, you may feel like there's no way out. Nothing you do seems to work, no matter what you try. You feel defeated, hopeless, and exhausted. It may feel like you have nowhere and no one to turn to. Does this sound like you?

I tailor counselling sessions to the individual, depending on what they need. I take an integrative and soul-centred approach to depression, so we can get to the root cause and heal you from the inside out.

If you're feeling anxious, I can promise you you're not on your own. Champion Health estimates that 1 in 6 people every week are diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder. And while it is sometimes difficult to overcome, I can help come up with strategies to help you cope with your anxiety.

To start your journey towards an anxiety-free life, contact me today.

Trauma is caused by an event that might cause physical, mental, or psychological harm. When you experience trauma, you may feel threatened, powerless, frightened, or shell-shocked.

Trauma can change how you see yourself and the world around you. And it may be holding you back from living the life you deserve. You never wanted to experience what you went through, and you don't want to experience the after-effects of them which is how you think and feel today.

I want to help you break free from the hold trauma has on you and get your mental well-being back on track.

There's no need to be worried...

Booking an appointment with a therapist can seem a little bit unnerving, especially if you don’t feel 100% ready to unearth your past. Please don’t worry, I always go at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Therapy For Couples

It can feel overwhelming deciding to seek couples counselling with your partner. It’s a massive step. But you’ve reached breaking point and you really want improvements to be made within your relationship.

That’s where I come in.

When you and your partner start couples counselling with me, you’re always met with a compassionate and non-judgemental response. I will encourage you to both be honest in therapy. Healing can’t happen unless we unearth the thoughts and feelings of both members of the relationship.

We’ll gain insight into each of you as individuals, together, as well as your relationship. Understanding more about each other will help us to move forward.

Most of the time, couples agree to enter counselling because they’re experiencing problems in their relationship. Whilst most of the work in therapy involves exploring the roots of problems, we’ll also talk about and encourage you to think about the positive elements of your relationship.

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is a very important aspect of counselling, to ensure that the services that are being offered are reaching a high potential.

It’s a formal meeting, where therapists can discuss their work regularly. Sometimes this will include training or assessment components. It’s not just a chance to gain more insight from a more experienced professional, but it’s also an ethically important part of practising.

I have an extra level of training and experience that allows me to supervise other therapists.

We have a few discounted spaces for counselling trainees – please contact us for details on availability.

  • Supervision £50 / 60 mins
  • Supervision £65 / 90 mins
